MS3 – Microscope Spectral Scanning System
The all new MS3 Spectral Scanning System, Spectrally scans large specimens.
The MS3 Microscopically Spectrally Scans small and large specimens up to approximately 250mmx900mm with a spectral step size of 2nm to create a complete micro-spectral map of the entire area.
Scan Area and spatial step size are variable, as is the light measurement integration time. The system may be mounted to any of the popular quality microscopes as an upgrade or supplied as a complete system.
Acquisition, presentation and comparison software is easy to operate and allows export of data for future analysis.

FIBRE TAPING MAPPING/SCREENING system
Fibres can be automatically identified then picked off for further microspec analysis with confidence the fibres are those being searched for....
MS3 auto fibre mapping and search system is now available
Fibre finders have been used to search tapings with little or no success over many years. The smcs MS3 system brings an all new approach to collecting spectral data from fibre tapings.
MS3 will map spectra on the taping and not just search for a fibre but store all the spectral data from the taping. This means that the data maybe searched for as many spectral matches as necessary and the data remains available to search by computer at any time later – so to search again for another fibre colour takes seconds.
As all the spectra are available clustered maybe identified and spectra collected from these to feed back up the chain to the police.
The time taken to scan taping is 30 minutes to 2.0 hours this is set by the user. The quality of the spectra and size of the area to be scanned determine the time taken.
