Petrographic analysis have been recognised internationally
as important in the context of the genesis, metamorphism and
usage of coal. The measurements of single coal provide information
regarding the rank, the maceral and microlithotype compositions
and the distribution of minerals. Mainly the measurement of Vitrinite reflection in a coal blend is a useful
tool to get the information about some important chemical
and technological properties but also the comparison of the
Liptinite Fusinite and Inertite shares has an important part
in the classification of the different blend types.
The J&M photometer TIDAS MSP 200 operates to the DIN/ISO
standard in the data acquisition procedure as well as in the
analysis mode. Final histograms display the results in quantitative
columns and relative shares.
